Huskies Set to Host the First Annual Jay Carisella Track & Field Invitational



The Northeastern track &field team initiates its 2009-10 indoor season in the comfort of its own home as the Huskies host the first-annual Jay Carisella Track & Field Invitational at the Reggie Lewis Center (Boston) on Saturday, Dec. 5. Formerly known as the Husky Winter Carnival, NU's annual meet has been renamed to honor the late track & field standout, Jay Carisella. With 29 collegiate teams and 17 independent clubs on hand to formulate the indoor season opener, many are expected to be on hand to take in this yearly spectacle. The meet is scheduled to go off at 9:30 a.m. starting with the women's events.
